We’ve waited patiently for the arrival of the latest edition of Net magazine in the studio. As we announced previously, we would be featured under a section which invites designers to get involved by creating a piece of work. In this particular issue, Kev created a piece of work for Chorley Little Theatre. The brief was to design a website for a theatre. It could be a West End or a small, independent venue. Users would have to be able to see what is on quickly, and book tickets easily.
Above: updated home page and new booking system.
The site would be creating using ZURB’s Foundation framework, and purchasing functionality would be added with OpenCart. The homepage features a large scrollable banner that displays the latest acts. The simplified navigation means ticket purchasing is always only one click away, no matter what device the user is on. Finally online booking has been given a revamp that has seen the user able to pick the act, select their seats and purchase.
